On 4 September 2023, I’m pleased to say I started my secondment with the Association of Consumer Support Organisations. Over the next six months, I will be working part-time with ACSO as part of my training contract with Lyons Davidson, a full-service law firm and founder member of ACSO. This is a great opportunity to take an active role in new and exciting developments in the legal sector, while supporting the interests of consumers in the civil justice system.
During my secondment, I hope to use my background and experience in Property Litigation, specifically Landlord/Tenant & Freehold/Leasehold disputes, to make a positive impact on the legal sector and assist members in a politically charged, fast-developing area of law. Alongside the experience I bring to the team, I hope to find out more about how ACSO members are improving the consumer experience in respect of seeking redress and access to justice.
I have been welcomed warmly by the ACSO team and looking forward to contributing to its work, its members and, hopefully, the civil justice system during my secondment.
