I am pleased to have started my secondment with the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO), and look forward to the next six months. I will be undertaking this part time alongside my final seat at founding member Lyons Davidson, in the Corporate and Commercial Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for me, offered to trainees by Lyons Davidson as part of their training contract. I hope to be able to bring to bear my experience in litigation over the last few years, including consumer disputes, employment tribunal work and personal injury claims. This experience and knowledge will allow me to
bring a positive impact to the work that ACSO does, in particular looking at continuing court delays, the implementation of mandatory ADR and responding to impending consultations from the new Labour government.
In my first week I have had the opportunity to meet the ACSO team and find out more about the work they undertake for its members and how they are improving access to justice. This is truly an exciting time to be a part of ACSO with the change in government and the continued importance of lobbying to improve the consumer experience of civil justice.
