CRU data for 2020 confirms downward trend in injury claims. ACSO says: Insurers should hand back £35 savings now

The latest data from the government's Compensation Recovery Unity (CRU) confirms a significant drop in injury claims during 2020. Following an FOI request, the Association of Consumer Support Organisations (ACSO) found that 172,736 injury claims were registered in Oct - Dec 2020, a drop of nearly 51,000 compared to the same period in 2019.

Motor injury claims 'tick up' following release of official claims data, but all injury claims well down on 2019

Motor injury claims registered with the official government body (the Compensation Recovery Unit or CRU) for July- September this year have very slightly increased on the previous quarter, but are still well below the numbers recorded for the same time last year.
